Worthy Ocean Cleanup Project Seeks Funding

This 19 year old creative genius appears to have invented a realistic ocean cleanup concept. He needs funding to prove the potential…Amazing! I haven’t read too much about the specifics of the project but the story is very inspiring nonetheless.

At the time of publishing this blog post, the campaign had raised $6,969 of the $80,000 stated goal, with 30 days remaining.

With $80,000, we can cover all estimated costs to scientifically prove the concept’s feasibility. Our research includes 35 research topics in the fields of engineering, oceanography, (geo)physics, ecology, finance, maritime law and recycling.

By finishing this all-important study, we can continue with an open ocean pilot, followed by the actual full-scale execution of The Ocean Cleanup.

I love independent projects. This one is currently getting more funding than it asked for, on Kickstart.
A little blurb about the project from Apartment Therapy.
If there’s anything we believe here at Apartment Therapy is using what you’ve already got, whether it be an old chair makeover or leftovers cooked up to perfection. So goes the same for old tech…in this case old audio speakers you might have laying around the garage, attic, or basement waiting to be brought back to service…and with wireless connectivity!

I have 2 speakers waiting for a Vamp right now.
